QUINCY SPELLING BEE

Congratulations fifth-grade students! We are so proud of all of our fifth-grade students who participated in the Spelling Bee. It was a tough competition with many, many great spellers. We are pleased to announce that first place goes to Peyten Lohr and second place to Josh Oren!

IN-DISTRICT TRANSFER

Families who live within the Zeeland district who would like to apply for an in-district transfer to a building other than their assigned boundary school building are asked to fill out an in-district transfer form. This form will be accepted February 1, 2017 until April 7, 2017. Applications received after April 7 will be reviewed at a later date. This form is required for all new in-district transfer requests as well as in-district transfer students entering a transition year (entering grades 6 and 9) in the fall of 2017.

DRESSING FOR THE WEATHER

Cooler weather is here and with that comes the boots, hats, gloves, snow pants and coats that children bring bring to school.

Please be sure to label all clothing! Also, encourage your child not to share their hat with other students. The best defense against unwanted critters in your student’s hair is to check his/her head weekly. Head lice is a common problem during the colder weather in Michigan. Catching it early is our best defense against lice. The link below will lead you to a publication that the State of Michigan published about Head Lice.
