TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

teacher thank

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week at Quincy! There will be fun for the amazing Q-Crew teachers all week long. The Quincy PTO will be providing lunch for the teachers on Tuesday, May 8.

If you want to thank your child’s teacher, one of the best ways is a personalized note about the positive impact the teacher has had on your child’s life. We have an easy way for you to share this message with your child’s teacher–simply complete this form:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc9d1ZLLsXLZQAV4mOSTNMov5jrUUqfwgaESh7IHzff2zR5Lg/viewform?usp=sf_link

HALF DAYS NEXT WEEK

Tulips

We are excited to celebrate Tulip Time. As a reminder, May 9, 10 & 11 are half days. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon.

VOTE MAY 8

ZPS will be on the ballot Tuesday, May 8 with a proposal to renew the 18-mill non-homestead property tax for one year. The tax is levied on industrial, commercial, and some agricultural property. It does not affect the taxes of the primary homeowner. Additional information is available at zps.org or call the Superintendent’s office at 616.748.3002.

PLANNING FOR NEXT YEAR

next year

We have lots of learning yet to do this year, but we are already making plans for the 2018-19 school year at Quincy! We would like to announce a couple of staffing changes for next year.

Mrs. Lievense will be teaching third grade instead of second grade next year. Mrs. Lievense will be teaming with Mrs. Lucas next year. Talk about an amazing duo!

Mrs. Wilson will be back at Quincy after a year off to care for her son. She will be teaching kindergarten because Mrs. Pyle will be taking a year off to care for her newborn. Mrs. Wilson is excited to get back to teaching, she loved having the year with her son but she missed us!
